The DTA (Differential-Thermal-Analysis) gathers thermic effects (absorption and release of heat) proceeding in a sample during the heating. For comparison an inert sample (f. ex. aluminium oxide) is employed.
Because of the gathering of thermic effects the inference of certain reactions gets possible (melt and crystallization phases).
