For measuring low-viscosity meltings we employ an apparatus generating defined shear forces by the effect of a body of rotation.
The melting put braking action on the body of rotation. This braking action is measured.
With the ascertained data and the geometric guidelines of melting pot and body of rotation viscosity can be determined at the respective temperature.
This method serve for measuring the working point, but a section of the viscosity temperature curve can be depicted, too.
